I hope February has been good to you. I've spent the last couple of months in Europe finishing my upcoming book and am headed back to the USA in a few days. Here's the rest of my news from the last month.
The Facebook page for my upcoming book crossed the 1,000th follower mark this month. The book, The Camino Way: Lessons in Leadership from a Walk Across Spain, comes out in July from the American Management Association as a hardcover, audiobook, and ebook. It combines my Camino story and my interviews with 100+ people from 16 countries. ("Like" the page to follow the book's progress.)
One of my blogs this month topped LinkedIn's Leadership & Management channel with over 12,000 views and 1,100 likes. It summarizes one leadership lesson from each of the US presidents ranked in the top 5 in the newest survey of historians sponsored by C-SPAN. (2 minute read.)
I posted a whiteboard video that gives an overview of my book, Lead Inside the Box: How Smart Leaders Guide their Teams to Exceptional Results, and the training seminars I do about the book. See the video at www.victorprince.com. (90 second view.)
My second February blog followed up my first one and summarizes the mistakes the lowest ranked US presidents made, turning each into a lesson learned for today's leaders. Learning from their mistakes is more interesting in many ways. (4 minute read.)
Random Tech Tip of the Month: The tip I shared most in the last month was to use Fiverr.com for design work on animated videos. I have had two animated videos made using them and been quite satisfied with the quality and the value (under $70 for a 90 second video.) (Note: I have no incentive to recommend Kiwi. I just recommend it based on good personal experience.)
